Chepstow and District Round Table are trying to do as many fun outdoors events as they can this summer, kicking off with clay shooting, followed by white water rafting in Cardiff Bay and most recently with the 'Blindfold driving and other shenanigans' evening.
The members and guests were not told what the 'other shenanigans' was: re-creating something which a couple of us had seen on Facebook, namely the digger football challenge!
The aim was to use a small digger to collect footballs balanced on top of traffic cones and dump them in a bucket, against the clock.
For those unfamiliar in the operation of diggers, this is properly tricky and was the cause of much concentration, mishap, laughter and banter.
The lads and guests took turns to have a number of goes, improving all the time, but being shown the way by digger provider and very experienced driver and recent new member, Adam Phelps.
There is a sort of unofficial challenge going around, so Chepstow timed Adam in a video, at around 44 seconds for six balls. Chepstow e going to try to post that and keep the challenge going, using the Round Table name as much as possible of course!
Can any other Tables take part in this challenge?
