Have you ever witnessed Ilfracombe Round Table's Birdman event?
Brave aviators will attempt to fly from the pier in their homemade flying machines! It is a great day for the whole family with rides, kids entertainment, live music, farm olympics and more!
If you're a fan of real and and great food, you'll be in heaven as the festival will be running at the same time.
Members of the Round Table family (including Round Table, Ladies Circle, Tangent and 41 club) plus their families are invited to join the camping weekend for the event.
Schedule of the weekend:
Friday 31st July - Arrive anytime from mid-afternoon and pitch camp. Our clubhouse bar will be open exclusively to our Table friends, and a very good value BBQ will be laid on. In the evening, rock out to Ilfracombe's finest rock 'n' roll band, Jose & The Hotdogs! (featuring Ilfracombe Round Table's very own Jose Brinkmann!)
Saturday 1st Aug - Breakfast provided in the clubhouse, then enjoy the Birdman festivities from 11am. As it is in all-day event, you can also take the chance to explore the rest of Ilfracombe's beautiful seafront. In the evening, if there is sufficient interest, we are planning on running a kids creche back at the clubhouse, where the youngsters can enjoy movies and popcorn while the adults party on with the live music at cider & ale festival at Birdman.
Sunday 2nd Aug - Breakfast will again be provided in the clubhouse. Then there will be the option to join an excursion or activity. This will be confirmed closer to the time, but we are hoping to offer a boat trip as well as a wet-weather alternative should the elements be against us. Sunday afternoon will be time to break camp and say farewell.
Included in your ticket price is:
- Your pitch fee for the weekend
- Cooked breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning
- Friday night live band
- VIP area at the Birdman event
- Free entry into the Birdman competition (should you wish to take part with a flying machine or fancy dress)
- Use of toilets and showers throughout the weekend
The only thing you'll need to pay for is BBQ on Friday night (although this will be very reasonable), any food or drink at the Birdman event on Ilfracombe pier, plus the Sunday excursion if you choose to join (this can be booked on arrival).
With tickets starting at £17 per person for the weekend, what isn't their to like?
