Join Round Table
We can offer you experiences and activities you wouldn't or couldn't normally do; lifelong friends and contacts; valuable life skills and the opportunity to contribute to your local community.

Ask 10 Round Table members why they joined and you will get 10 different answers. For many it is the social aspect - they want to widen their circle of friends, the want to have fun or have moved to a new area and find it a great way to build up a new social network. For others, existing friends are already members, and ask them along.
It can be the case that we just find new things to do in your town, get some dads together for some downtime or an opportunity for a relaxed beer in a pub, followed by a curry.
The real attraction of Round Table goes far beyond this, because what new members find is that once they have joined, there is a unique combination of elements that is simply not available elsewhere.
We are a not for profit organisation run by ourselves for ourselves.
We are about friendship (and not dating - oh you would be surprised at some of the emails we get).
Round Table is all about trying a diverse range of fun activities that you wouldn't normally do or have the opportunity to do as an individual, with a group of people from different backgrounds, that you wouldn't normally meet. You can learn all sorts of new skills, while making a real difference to your local community, and it's not just local -- it's global, with clubs in more than 65 countries, on every continent on the world.
For Philip Murray, 30, a pharmaceutical controller who joined Margate Round Table in the summer, the reasons for joining were clear:
"I joined Round Table to become part of a group that was fun-loving, not scared to try something new or push themselves to new limits whilst putting something back into the community.
"I could not have hoped for a more welcoming group of guys to become a part of."
As 35-year-old Edward Johns, who joined Bideford Round Table six years ago, explains, for many the attraction is instant:
"A friend of mine invited me along, and I knew it was the club for me from the very first event I attended."
For some, joining Round Table changes their approach to life. Carl Bradley, 40, a Yarborough Tabler of almost 17 years, got involved with a local charity who fly children with life-threatening illnesses to Lapland to meet Santa each Christmas, through Round Table. He says he will always be thankful for the results:
"What was effectively a chance meeting turned out to be a fantastic life experience for me. The team work and banter at events is what Round Table is all about, it has helped me to develop new personal skills and, above all, the sense of achievement is impossible to describe.
"If I wasn’t in Round Table, I wouldn’t have been invited to that first meeting and would have missed out on something which has gone on to be a huge part of my life and also that of my family.
"A huge thanks – to the people who got me involved, and to Round Table."
