National Vice President Mark House has met enigmatic politician Boris Johnson at a dinner hosted by Sir David Amess.
Mark has previously met with Sir David at his Westminster office to explain a little more about what Round Table does and the role Round Table has within local communities.
From our initial work with Anthony Nolan to our ongoing collecting for BBC Children in Need and our own charity, Round Table Children's Wish, Mark explained how we are making a difference across the UK.
During the conversation Mark was able to share his vision for the year ahead and some of the key points he finds important and would like to address in his year as National President with men's mental health being a key item for his agenda.
Whether it be how Round Table addresses the subject of the well being of its own members to how we can help charities who focus on mental health was discussed.
Mark lives in Southend on Sea and Sir David is one of the towns two Members of Parliament, ( the other being James Duddridge) so they spent some time sharing their passion for the town and their shared desire to see Southend celebrated for all that it has to offer its inhabitants and visitors alike.
On the evening, Mark was introduced to the Mayor of London himself who was very willing to take part in some selfies!
