How does Santa get around? In his sleigh of course. But what if your sleigh is in need of a little TLC? That was the case for Sandbach Round Table.
But thanks to the Holdcroft Motor Group, who this year became Santa's little helpers, the Sandbach Round Table Santa's Sleigh route is raring to go and will be Round Table 201's best yet!
The fantastic work of the Holdcroft Motor Group have blown Sandbach Round Table 201 away with their work on their Sleigh and the new “Rudolph” which, we all think you’ll agree, both look incredible! Sandbach 201 approached Holdcroft for some help with the sleigh and the possibility of donating (leasing) a vehicle to aid Santa on his travels. The guys at Holdcroft kindly agreed and were soon designated Santa’s little helpers for the coming weeks, agreeing to be head tinkerers with 201’s Santa sleigh.
Sandbach Round Table member and Santa helper, Jaime, said “They did a tremendous job, above and beyond what was originally requested by giving the girl a complete new glossy paint job, a huge overhaul of the previous wiring efforts and reworking of the electronics system. They installed new speakers with a CD unit, some new and improved ‘mood’ lighting, some great looking decals and, more importantly, have made the sleigh as safe as possible for the collection elves (and tablers) who will be pounding the streets for charitable donations.”
So, on a cold evening on Thursday 24th November, Sandbach Round Table and Santa took delivery of their brand-new sleigh from Holdcroft and wow, did they tinker!
In attendance were some rather excited young people and their families, who got an opportunity to ask Santa about their Christmas lists, where his reindeer were currently “hiding” and who his favourite Marvel characters was! The sleigh handover event turned out to be a fantastic evening and a great opportunity for Santa to meet and greet the individuals who were responsible for giving his ‘ride’ an all-important makeover, whilst also thanking them for all their hard work and efforts.
A special mention must go to Steve and Helen (from Holdcroft) for Co-ordinating this makeover (and controlling those pesky elves), who without them, this wouldn’t have been possible.
The Tablers of 201 said “On behalf of everyone at Sandbach Round Table 201 (& Santa), we want to thank you all for the great work you have done, honestly what you’ve produced is truly special and allows us to finally get the Sleigh back on the road and ready to visit all the children and young people of Sandbach in December!”
Every year Round Tables across the UK and Ireland support Santa on his travels to meet children and collect for great local causes. For information about the routes and dates Sandbach Round Table will be working, keep an eye out on Facebook & Twitter
