Record breaking year for Colchester Colne's half marathon

Colchester Colne Round Table and an 180 strong army of volunteers are preparing for a record-breaking year for the Colchester Half Marathon.

This year’s event, which takes place on Sunday, March 13th will welcome around 4,000 runners all looking to complete the 13-mile race.

Luke Wastsell, who is a member of Colchester Colne says the Table have some exciting stuff happening at this year’s event to celebrate a record-breaking year.

The race, which is said to bring around £1million to the local economy starts from the Weston Homes Community Stadium and loops around the city before ending back at the stadium, the chosen charities are Robin Cancer Trust and the Tom Bowdidge Foundation and the race is already set to beat its fundraising total of £50,000.
