Round Table President Marcus Jones is set to visit the House of Lords tonight (Wednesday 24th February) to learn more about the work by the PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) resolution and how Round Table can actively help.
The PTSD resolution provides counselling for Veterans, TA and Reservists who are struggling to reintegrate into a normal work and family life because of military trauma suffered during service in the armed forces.
The PTSD receives no Government or NGO funding.
The national outreach programme has over 200 counsellors. It is private, confidential, local and one-to-one and has a 78% success rate.
Invited guests on the night include senior representatives from commerce and other organisations with an active interest in the mental welfare of our Forces’ Veterans.
Marcus Jones is honoured to be invited to events such as these, “This is yet another continuation of the links we are trying to build between Round Table and those currently serving and those who have served in the Armed Forces.
I look forward to hearing about the work by the PTSD Resolution and how our organisation can support them.
As an organisation, we want to be a great network for those who have already given so much to the UK and Ireland”.
