Are your holiday snaps just sitting on a memory card, nothing but a distant reminder of your trip to Tenerife back in 08?
National Geographic Traveller magazine is hosting a Photography Masterclass focused on how readers can make money from travel photography.
Date: Wednesday 9 March, 7.30-10pm
Venue: theprintspace, 74 Kingsland Road, London E2 8DL
Led by professional photographer Steve Davey and National Geographic Traveller’s group art editor Chris Hudson, it will cover the inner workings of photo libraries, print sales, competitions and how to pitch work to magazines and other publications.
Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK), said: “After the success of our first standalone Photography Masterclass in December 2015, we’re pleased to be working with both theprintspace and Steve Davey again. We’re always on the lookout for great new talent, and this class is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to pitch to magazines and gain an insight into what we’re looking for when we commission professional photographers.
The event will take place during National Geographic Traveller’s Photography Competition Exhibition 2016, this offers you the chance to see examples of award winning images as well as learn how to create your own.
Who knows, a Tabler out there could be sat on a gold mine of travel photos.
