With over 90 Real Ales as well as lager, local ciders and wines, high quality local food, and the best local musicians, Hastings Round Table have grown a reputation as the best beer and music festival in the South East!
Hastings Beer and Music Festival is a mammoth three-day event managed by a committee of local Round Table members – all giving up their time to help raise enormous sums of desperately needed funds for those in need. With 2017 seeing the 90th year of Round Table, this year the guys from Hastings are pulling out all the stops to make it the Beer festival the biggest yet!
Previously local band-turned-international chart-toppers, Keane, performed at the event in 2012 and saw the Beer Festival sell out quicker than ever! Hastings Round Table were thrilled to be able to make a donation of £22,000 via Keane to the primary beneficiary, St. Michaels Hospice. In 2014, over 10,000 people attended and raised an amazing £72,000 for local good causes. The boys from Hastings Round Table are aiming to make 2017 their most successful fundraising event ever.
Adam Streather, member of Hastings Round Table and this year’s Chairman, said: “In our time we have given over £1million to local good causes! Organised by Hastings and Battle Round Tables, all staff are volunteers, and all proceeds go to local good causes.
Our pledge is simple. Great fun for great causes!
This is an exciting time for the Hastings Beer and Music Festival. We are moving to a new venue giving us the opportunity to improve the event's current format and expand on what is already a fantastic event. You can expect a bigger venue, better facilities, but still the same great atmosphere. Myself and the rest of the Hastings Beer and Music Festival committee look forward to welcoming everyone to our new site at The Oval in July, all joining together to raise money for local good causes”.
It’s the event of the year to have a great time, give back to many fantastic causes whilst being surrounded by stunning sea views!
Streather said “Great Bands, great Ales, fantastic local food, family fun on the Saturday day time, great atmosphere and Proms on the Thursday evening are just some of the things that everyone can look forward to.”
Hastings Round Table would like to take this opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to the thousands of volunteers that have helped over the years. “The event simply wouldn’t run without the generous help of local volunteers, and amazing support from local businesses who sponsor the event”.
